1. Who we are

Vizuara Books (books.vizuara.ai) is operated by Vizuara AI Labs. This policy explains what we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. For anything privacy-related, write to team@vizuara.com.

2. What we collect

We keep the data we hold small and purposeful:

• Account details: your email address and name, provided when you sign in with Google or email.
• Reading progress: which books and chapters you have opened and how far you have read, so the library can pick up where you left off.
• Engagement events: product analytics such as pages viewed, books opened, ratings given, and feature usage, so we can improve the product.
• Subscription status: your plan and whether it is active. Card and payment details are handled entirely by Razorpay; we never see or store your card number.

3. How we use it

We use this data to run the service: signing you in, remembering your reading position, gating access to the library by subscription, answering support requests, and understanding which books and features people find useful. We also send product and marketing emails, which you can opt out of at any time.

4. Who processes it

We rely on a short list of processors, each handling only what it needs:

• Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication, database, and file storage for the library and your account.
• PostHog: product analytics on the engagement events described above.
• Razorpay: payment processing for subscriptions.
• Brevo: transactional and marketing email.

5. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. Data goes to the processors above solely so they can provide their service to us.

6. Marketing emails

We may email you about new books, features, and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your access to the service. Emails that are part of running your account, such as payment receipts, are sent regardless.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. To delete your account and the personal data associated with it, email team@vizuara.com from your account address and we will handle it promptly. Some records, such as payment records, may be retained where the law requires it.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage for essentials: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences like reading theme and font size, and powering the analytics described above. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the product.
